Tuaran is situated in the West Coast of Sabah and is just 32 kilometres away from the State capital, Kota Kinabalu. Tuaran is well-known for it’s fried ‘Tuaran noodles’ and visitors including Sabahans would travel all the way to Tuaran just to have a taste of it. The population of Tuaran consists a majority of the Dusun ethnic, the Lotud ethnic and the Bajau ethnic.

District of kiulu

Kiulu is situated in the Tamparuli district and is 47.7 kilometres away from the State capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu. The word ‘Kiulu’ was actually derived from a plant that is called ‘Tulu’, which is a small bamboo plant that grows on the river bank.

Tamparuli is a small town located on the West coast of Sabah. Tamparuli is a town where it is mostly populated by the native Dusuns and Chinese communities. Tamparuli is well known for it’s long hanging bridge or also known locally as the ‘Jambatan Tamparuli’ that is situated in the heart of Tamparuli town. There is also a song named after the bridge that was composed by a late Sabahan singer.
