Mari Mari Cultural Village will introduce visitors to various traditional homes and lifestyles of Sabah’s five major ethnic communities, which are the Bajau, Lundayeh, Murut, Rungus, and Dusun. Uniquely, the huts are built by the descendants of the tribes that they represent.
Each house offers experience to try Sabah’s traditional delicacies from the ethnic groups as well as part-taking in some activities like blowpipe-making, fire-starting demonstration using bamboo, tattoo-making demonstration, and get an in-depth look at the mystical symbolism behind them.
At the end of the guided tour, visitors will be entertained by exhilarating traditional performances from the Mari Mari Cultural Village community before adjourning to enjoy the meals prepared.
A visit to the Mari Mari Cultural Village will be a cultural excursion of a lifetime! See, taste and feel the essence of Sabah presented to you as it was and as it is.
